The Functional Mom project was created during a time when I became a mother myself and was also experiencing anxiety, panic and anxiety disorders, and depression.
I started looking for a way to manage it so that I could function normally. Not perfectly, but so that I could at least be there for my daughter.
I gradually went through different stages and situations, I was in contact with different people and I was looking for what really works in everyday life. Not theoretically, but in reality.
Therefore, Functional Mom is not just about moms.
It's not just about women.
It is for anyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, postpartum depression, or simply going through a bad time.
I've been through it myself, so I understand what it's like - and I also know what helped me gradually get out of it.
This project arose from this experience.

Hello, my name is Lenka.
I am a woman and a mother who has experienced anxiety, panic attacks, exhaustion, and times when it was difficult to cope with a normal day.
I know the feeling when you're afraid of your own thoughts. When you're trying to function for your child, but you're a total mess inside. When you tell yourself it should be different... maybe easier, but you don't know how.
My advice is not a universal phrase - it's a concrete practice that people in my community use every day and see real changes in themselves, and it makes me incredibly happy 🤍🤍🤍
And that's why I'm doing what I'm doing today.
I'm not creating a theory. I'm giving concrete steps that I've tried myself in real life — as a mom who doesn't have time for long instructions.
I will show you how:

– gradually get over the feeling that you are just surviving

I address anxiety, panic, PTSD, and depression as people really experience them.

Depression
Depression is not just sadness.
It's an inner emptiness. Fatigue. An unwillingness to do even the simplest things. Like brushing your teeth in the morning, making breakfast, cleaning your room.
Things you once managed without thinking are suddenly incredibly difficult.
And you just live day by day.
I know. I've been in this hell too.
Anxiety
Anxiety is not just in your head.
It's the heart pounding. The stomach clenching. The hands shaking.
The feeling that something is happening... even when nothing is happening.
And the more you try to calm down, the worse it gets.
I know. That's exactly how I operated.
Panic and anxiety disorder
Panic and anxiety disorder is not “just stress.”
It's the moment when you feel like something is happening to your body.
The heart is pounding, the breath is getting shorter, the body is panicking and going completely crazy.
and you feel like you can't handle it and you'll drop out.
And the worst thing is that you're afraid it'll happen again.
PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder is not a thing of the past.
It's something that comes back to the present, even if you don't want it to for a long time.
Memories, feelings, body reactions...
that come unexpectedly and hit you hard.
And you just want to finally have peace .
Postpartum depression
Postpartum depression is not about not loving your baby.
It's the exhaustion, pressure, and emotions that can completely overwhelm you.
Inside you feel like you're unhappy.
And you don't understand why, when you should be happy. Sometimes you don't feel like a mother, but like a nanny.
Bad mood
A bad mood can come for no reason.
All it takes is one little thing... and suddenly everything irritates you.
People, noise, questions, even yourself.
Lack of motivation
Lack of motivation is the feeling when you don't have the strength to start,
even though you know you want to.
And you need more than just a "kick in the pants."
